Viking spectacle helmet

From my Samples, Singulars, and Somethings Completely Different collection -

The spectacle helm is a variation of the spangenhelm and is so named for the eyepieces formed integrally with the nasal. This particular example has octagonal eyeholes - which look cool but is something I'm not entirely convinced about the historical authenticity thereof. I picked up this particular helmet as a sample thinking I'd be using it myself, but I have to be honest with you - I think this will look much better on someone with a larger head and more rounded countenance - it just doesn't look right on me (my head is narrow and bascinet shaped - Gabba Gabba Hey). Made from 16 gauge steel, with suspension liner and chinstrap. I have one available, may be able to get more but I'm not sure when.
