German sallet (14ga)

German sallet, a helmet style which replaced the bascinet in northern Europe during the mid-15th century, and was popular through northern and western Europe from the late 1400's though early 1500's (when the sallet evolved into the burgonet). 14 gauge satin-polished mild steel, hinged visor with ocularium, adjustable leather liner and chinstrap. Weighs ~ 7 lb 13 oz (size L). Made by Get Dressed For Battle.
