During the 1600's everyone who was anyone carried daggers at all times, and quite often used them in conjunction with a sword or rapier, or on their own when situations didn't call for the sword. This dagger has a tempered 1095 high carbon steel blade with pierce-work, a steel pommel and guard, and a wood grip wrapped in twisted steel wire. A leather covered wooden scabbard with steel fittings is included. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. This dagger matches en-suite with the Heavy curassier's sword-rapier (Munich sword) .
