Bellows-face sallet (16ga)

Bellows-face sallet were usually paired up with Milanese harness, and enjoyed popularity in Italy and southern Germany between 1480 and 1520. This guy is from around 1490 and is reconstructed in 16ga mild steel - a bit too light for any of the heavy contact activities, but great for moderate sparring and dress / theater / film wear.

Weighing in at 7 lb 5 oz, this helmet is 11 1/2" high neck to crest and has a 30" outer circumference at the eyeslot. Ready to wear with an ajustable suspension liner, chinstrap, and visor catch.
