A heavy bladed sword that is either southern Luzon or Visayan in origins. Circa 1890, from the Philippine Revolution (or Philippine Insurrection, depending upon which side of the struggle wrote the history). Unusual and fairly massive blade with a thick ricasso may have been cut down from a longer sword. The diamond cross-sectioned horn grip is missing it's wire wrap, and the sword most likely originally had a thin sheet metal crossguard. A nice hefty piece of steel with some history behind it.
