Raptor katana - 8th century moroha zukuri

This false-edge blade is based on a tachi blade forged around 800 AD, and is a link between the oldest inherited-from-China straight-sword style and the more familiar curved tachi and katana blades. Differentially tempered 5160 steel - short, sharp, fast, and a rarely replicated historical sword of a nearly forgotten period in Japan's martial history. Made by Hanwei / Paul Chen.
