news 07/20/06: The past couple of months have seen a global shortage of the Paul Chen Practical series Austrian longsword - production has been limited and the swords couldn't be found anywhere for love nor money. A fresh production run hit the US shores about two weeks ago, but they're selling out quickly. news 03/17/06: Over the past few weekends, Therion has been working with the film crew shooting the From The Flames production of A Knight Time Story, providing weapons and armor and costumes and standing in as "Lord Gar's evil henchman #1". It's been a blast, and some of the other barbarian warriors have asked about Dark Ages/Viking style helms (the bunch of us look like the meanest "what's in your wallet?" commercial ever concieved). Due to popular request, we've added in an 11th century spangenhelm, the Coppergate helm, the Gjermundbu helm , and (a non-dark ages) Italian barbute to the Reproduction Arms & Armor sections.

news 06/18/05: Some availability news - three out of the four Japanese helmets with mempo that have been on backorder forever with the manufacturer (Paul Chen) are now available again (Takenda, Daisho, and Nobunaga - we're still waiting on the Masamune). Several folks have been patiently waiting on Practical series baskethilt swords - backsword, broadsword, and mortuary swords. We're still unsure as to when more will arrive - Paul Chen is working on a new generation (in part due to our feedback). It's been a couple of months, the new generation should be here soon. Several folks are also waiting on the Scimitar dance swords - we have a lot of them on backorder with the manufacturer, they should be here within another month.

news 05/25/05: Created a brand new catalog section - Bowie knives, beginning with eight Historical Bowie Collection knives by Paul Chen/Hanwei and four damascus blade Bowies by Bear and Son. More Bowie knives coming soon! (Texas arms dealer ... Bowie knives ... it just makes sense).
news 05/10/05: added four new items to the Reproduction Arms & Armor catalog pages: rounded besagews, scalloped besagews, synthetic bokken (Cold Steel), and the Practical plus wakizashi (by Paul Chen). Our Kingdom of Heaven swords, weapons, and armor have now cleared through Customs (just in time for the film opening, whew!) and are currently shipping.
news 05/06/05: Several folks have written in the past few months inquiring after the French smallsword by Cold Steel - they're now available again! (shipment just arrived).

news 04/15/05: One of our friends has been chiding us for being swordcentric and not offering enough daggers. We're not sure if he has Freudian issues or if we do, so we've begun our therapy by adding fifteen new daggers to the Reproduction Arms & Armor catalog section. How's that for a start, Mike? :)
